FAQs

What can I expect from my first session?

Your initial session is a time for me to gather information so I can gain a greater understanding of you as a person. It is also a time when I will make recommendations based on your individual needs and together we will establish goals for moving forward.

What insurance do you accept?

I am in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield/PPO.  For all other insurances I will submit claims to your insurance on your behalf as an out-of-network provider.  You are strongly encouraged to contact your insurance carrier and inquire about deductibles and co-payments prior to your first session.  Additional questions you may want to ask your insurance carrier: do I have a session limit, what is my out-of-network coverage, do I need preauthorization or approval from my primary care physician prior to starting.

Fees for co-pays or self- pay are accepted in the form of cash, check, credit card, debit card.

Is everything confidential?

Yes, since this is a vital element to establishing a safe and trusting environment.  No information can be disclosed without prior written permission/consent from you, the client.  Exceptions to this, which legally require me to break this rule, involve risk to safety such as when there is imminent risk of harming yourself or someone else, or if child or elder abuse is suspected.
